Gaming Intelligence Hot 50
Matt Sunderland deserves a huge amount of credit for BetMGM’s success. He helped to shape the business as a consultant to both Entain (GVC as it was then known) and MGM Resorts before the joint venture was established, and then switched from consultant to vice president of gaming.
Under his leadership, BetMGM’s net gaming revenue surged to $357m by the half-year point and the business now claims the number two spot in the overall US sports betting and iGaming market. Having started his career in gaming with IGT in 2005, few know the industry better than Sunderland. Market leadership beckons.
